Michaelite Fathers Retreat Centre

Nestled in the quiet countryside just outside of London, Ontario, the Michaelite Fathers Retreat Centre is a sacred space dedicated to spiritual renewal, prayer, and community. Operated by the Congregation of Saint Michael the Archangel (the Michaelite Fathers), the centre offers a peaceful environment for parish groups, religious communities, lay movements, and schools seeking time away for formation, discernment, or silent retreat.

Rooted in the spiritual legacy of Blessed Bronisław Markiewicz, our mission is to provide a space where guests can encounter God more deeply through simplicity, hospitality, and reflection. Whether gathered in communal prayer or walking the quiet grounds, visitors find here an atmosphere of peace that invites openness to the movements of grace.

Our mission is to serve religious retreat groups of various denominations, as well as school, social, and interdenominational organizations seeking a space for reflection, community, or formation. While we are currently not set up to accommodate individual retreats, we warmly recommend the Holy Family Retreat House in Oxley for those looking for a personal retreat experience.

We offer overnight accommodation for groups, with dormitory-style rooms that include two or three single beds. A limited number of rooms are equipped with private baths. The retreat centre can accommodate up to 60 guests, depending on room configurations (single, double, or triple occupancy). Bed linens and towels are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own toiletries.

At the heart of our Centre is the Chapel, home to the Blessed Sacrament, which remains open for quiet prayer and reflection. We kindly ask all guests to maintain a spirit of reverence and silence in the chapel and all shared spaces.

As part of the rhythm of life at the Centre, daily Mass is celebrated:

  • Weekdays at 8:00 AM (English)

  • Sunday at 9:00 AM (Polish)

For those looking to explore the area, Pinery Provincial Park—with its beautiful trails, sand dunes, and beaches along Lake Huron—is just 45 minutes away, offering a wonderful opportunity for group outings or nature reflection.

We welcome your group to experience the peace, simplicity, and spiritual refreshment that our retreat centre offers.
