Under clear, late-summer skies, our church family filled the Michaelite Fathers Retreat Centre for a joyful celebration of the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel. We began with the Angelic Chaplet and gathered for Holy Mass a beautiful rhythm of prayer, smiles, and warm greetings all around.
We were blessed to welcome Very Rev. Fr. Dariusz Wilk, CSMA, our Superior General, together with the General Treasurer from Poland, as well as many Michaelite Fathers, diocesan priests, and the Ursuline Sisters. With gratitude, we celebrated 50 years of ministry in Canada by Fr. Jan Burczyk and Fr. Adam Gabriel—what a gift to our community! We also marked the 25th anniversary of priestly ordination of Fr. Tomasz Wilisowski; though he could not join us, we sent him our heartfelt greetings and prayers.
A special thank-you to the Knights of Columbus, the Polish Scouts, and the families of the Domestic Church circles for your help, and to Mr. Bartosh from Toronto and his ensemble for uplifting sacred music that helped everyone pray and sing with joy. In a brief acknowledgment of the hardships our world faces, we renewed our hope in the triumph of good—St. Michael reminds us that light is stronger than darkness.
To our many parishioners and friends who came—thank you. Your faith, warmth, and smiles made this feast a true celebration of community.
